Against the wind.

So, this semester has taken a big turn and has not been too great academically. I'm missing a lot of class and that's not good. I will be playin catch-up the rest of the semester. And I will have to drop another class like I have each semester. Sometimes it's necessary to drop a class.

It does not mean you're unable to learn, it just may be the wrong professor for you. Or perhaps you have too much going on to focus on your class. Or in my case, all the above plus the class not being what I expected. Sciences and maths are not my strong suit. Aand I learned this in my Astronomy class. It's sad, but it happens to almost everyone. Just look past it and work on everything else.

Aside from being ill a lot this semester so far and the grades, I've been pretty busy with my residential Hall Council meetings and plans and such, as well as I am the President of the French Club and have been working on getting things going for us. Also, I'm going to look into being an RA(that's Resident Assistant) at te residential hall I stayed at last year. I've got encouragement from my RA friend and I'm pretty sure I can do the job. It'll just be a game of balence between homework, classes, extra-curriculars, work study, sleep, eating, "free time," socializing, and whatever else to toggle with the duties of being an RA.

It's starting to get cooler on campus. I think Autumn is on its way! I'm exciting to burst out the hoodies and sweaters and long sleeve shirts again. I like it more because you can DO something about the cold!

Any way, I ran into the new President of UCA today while I was at lunch, I think. He accidentally dropped a spoon that I picked up right after him, not even knowing who he was at the time. He smiled and said, "Thank you." Nice manners, that man. I approve! It's great to have a well-mannered President at UCA.

So, before I end this blog, I want to just say.... I got a work study job! I am not working in the library in the music lab. :) It's great, I just started today. I'm so relieved to have a work study job and finally get some money coming in... Okay, in a month I'll get some money, but for now it's just good to be a part of something new!

I could continue to keep on writing, but we all know that life is always on the go, so I'm going to go, too!
